We are currently recruiting for a reliable and professional Driver / Yardperson to join a busy operations team within a vehicle workshop environment. This is a nice, easy role offering stable Monday to Friday hours and a straightforward workload.

Role Overview:

You will be responsible for the safe collection, movement, and delivery of customer vehicles between sites, supporting workshop operations, and ensuring the yard is kept organised and presentable at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport vehicles between sites and customer locations
  • Present vehicles for MOT and carry out road tests following workshop repairs
  • Complete vehicle checks before and after journeys, reporting any issues
  • Assist with general yard duties and keep work areas tidy and organised
  • Ensure vehicles are parked safely and in designated areas
  • Support workshop operations where required
  • Maintain high standards of safety and professionalism at all times

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV licence (essential)
  • Experience in commercial driving preferred
  • Strong awareness of health & safety practices
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in a busy environment
  • Basic understanding of commercial vehicles/mechanics advantageous

Working Hours:

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Core hours between 08:00 - 17:00. Occasional flexibility required depending on business needs.
