The Role

As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing a designated territory, identifying opportunities to grow aftermarket revenue, and delivering value-added solutions to customers across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell commercial vehicle aftersales products and maintenance contracts
  • Build and develop relationships with existing and prospective customers
  • Conduct regular customer visits across the East Midlands region
  • Identify customer requirements and provide tailored service solutions
  • Maintain accurate records using the company CRM system
  • Work closely with branch management and operational teams
  • Attend customer meetings, trade events, and industry functions
  • Monitor market activity and competitor offerings
  • Deliver against commercial and financial targets
  • Support the wider business by identifying sales opportunities across multiple departments

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Previous experience selling commercial vehicle aftersales services, maintenance contracts, or fleet solutions
  • Strong business development and relationship management skills
  • A proven track record of achieving sales targets
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own territory
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
  • A full UK driving licence

Desirable

  • Experience within the HGV, truck, fleet, transport, or commercial vehicle sector
  • Knowledge of dealer management systems such as Kerridge, ADP, or Autoline
