An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Level 3 Qualified Vehicle Technician to join a well-established commercial vehicle dealership. This varied role combines both mobile breakdown support and depot-based repairs, offering an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who enjoys a mix of workshop and field-based work.
Working Hours:
- Rotating Shift Pattern
- Week 1: Monday to Friday 06:00 - 14:30
- Week 2: Monday to Thursday 13:30 - 22:00, Friday 11:30 - 20:00, Saturday 06:00 - 12:00 (Paid as Overtime)
On-Call Requirement:
- 1 week in every 4 for 24-hour breakdown cover
The Role:
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on commercial vehicles
- Attending breakdowns and performing roadside diagnostics and repairs
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
- Completing depot-based inspections and repair work
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to manufacturer standards
- Maintaining accurate service and repair records
- Delivering excellent customer service both on-site and in the workshop
Requirements:
- Level 3 NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Previous dealership experience (essential)
- Experience working on commercial vehicles desirable
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
- Ability to work independently and manage mobile repair work effectively
- Strong communication and customer service skills
