An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy and professional commercial vehicle workshop in Alfreton. Working on a range of trucks and vans, you'll be responsible for servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance to the highest industry standards.
Working Hours
- Rotating Shift Pattern
- Early Shift: Monday - Friday, 06:00 - 15:00
- Late Shift: Monday - Friday, 15:00 - 00:00
- Saturday: 08:00 - 12:30 (with late shift rotation)
The Role
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and LCVs
- Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults
- Ensuring vehicles meet DVSA and health & safety standards
- Supporting and mentoring apprentices
- Completing workshop documentation accurately
- Participating in ongoing manufacturer training and development
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
- Previous HGV Technician experience
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Own tools
- Main dealer experience desirable
