Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £19.50 per hour + Overtime

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy and professional commercial vehicle workshop in Alfreton. Working on a range of trucks and vans, you'll be responsible for servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance to the highest industry standards.

Working Hours

  • Rotating Shift Pattern
  • Early Shift: Monday - Friday, 06:00 - 15:00
  • Late Shift: Monday - Friday, 15:00 - 00:00
  • Saturday: 08:00 - 12:30 (with late shift rotation)

The Role

  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and LCVs
  • Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults
  • Ensuring vehicles meet DVSA and health & safety standards
  • Supporting and mentoring apprentices
  • Completing workshop documentation accurately
  • Participating in ongoing manufacturer training and development

Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
  • Previous HGV Technician experience
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Own tools
  • Main dealer experience desirable
