We are currently seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic to join our busy, well-established workshops across Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work within reputable sites representing leading brands such as Volkswagen and Skoda (depending on location). This role offers a competitive salary, strong bonus structure, and a supportive team environment, ideal for a skilled technician looking for long-term stability and career progression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs
  • Perform vehicle inspections and fault finding
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment
  • Complete repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, clutches, and engine components
  • Carry out MOT preparation work to ensure vehicles meet testing standards
  • Conduct MOT testing in line with DVSA regulations (if qualified)
  • Maintain accurate job records and documentation
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety standards
  • Work effectively as part of the workshop team

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
  • Experience as a Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Mechanic, or Automotive Technician
  • MOT Tester Licence (desirable but not essential)
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and software
  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
