An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Level 3 Qualified Vehicle Technician to join a well-established commercial vehicle dealership. This varied role combines both mobile breakdown support and depot-based repairs, offering an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who enjoys a mix of workshop and field-based work.

Working Hours:

  • Rotating Shift Pattern
  • Week 1: Monday to Friday 06:00 - 14:30
  • Week 2: Monday to Thursday 13:30 - 22:00, Friday 11:30 - 20:00, Saturday 06:00 - 12:00 (Paid as Overtime)
  • On-Call Requirement: 1 week in every 4 for 24-hour breakdown cover

The Role:

  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on commercial vehicles
  • Attending breakdowns and performing roadside diagnostics and repairs
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
  • Completing depot-based inspections and repair work
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and to manufacturer standards
  • Maintaining accurate service and repair records
  • Delivering excellent customer service both on-site and in the workshop

Requirements:

  • Level 3 NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Previous dealership experience (essential)
  • Experience working on commercial vehicles desirable
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
  • Ability to work independently and manage mobile repair work effectively
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
