About Us: RSBG UK provides expert functional business support to nine companies with a total of 1,250 colleagues within the group. Our business purpose is to enable, facilitate and support our brands to ensure they can focus on what makes them successful. We do this by providing functional expertise across all brands by collaborating with business leaders, local teams and complementary functions. Our aim is to be a platform for business growth by providing dedicated tools and business support as and when required.

Our L&D team is small, and this creates an opportunity for role growth. The successful candidate will be expected to use their own initiative and be reactive and proactive at the same time to manage a diverse workload and to deliver our learning objectives of developing and retaining our talent by aligning learning opportunities with business strategy.

About The Role: You will be a confident and motivated Learning and Development (L&D) Advisor and you will support the delivery and administration of learning systems and resources across the group, providing advice and support to the brands within the organisation. This will include the identification of learning needs and requirements, and effective delivery across Group. Working closely with the L&D Manager, business leads and L&D Administrators, you will deliver required L&D content and portfolio to all brands. Our learning activity is supported through several systems, primarily a central LMS (Absorb). Experience of this platform or similar would be desirable but not essential. System knowledge and an aptitude to system management is essential for this role to be effective and to add value. This role would suit someone looking to move into Learning and Development from a related administrative or systems-based role, or someone seeking the next stage in developing their career in L&D.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learning Management System Administration: Serve as the primary contact for all training and learning queries across RSBG UK while administering, maintaining and developing the Absorb LMS—ensuring system accuracy, trusted data, and reliable reporting. Manage users, enrolments, and course access (including onboarding/offboarding), and configure/upload learning content in collaboration with SMEs, using course‑creation tools and AI where appropriate. Maintain LMS structures and configurations, ensuring data integrity and alignment with organisational requirements.
  • Support, Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement: Provide guidance and escalation support to L&D Administrators across the group, strengthening capability and reducing issues, while also leading a regular forum to share updates, learning, and best practice. Coordinate or procure external training in line with finance and procurement processes, and work closely with IT and external partners to ensure system functionality and continuous improvement. Advise colleagues on L&D procedures and best practice, and support the L&D Manager with evaluating training effectiveness, maintaining the L&D Compendium, and contributing to annual training plans and capability assessments.
  • Early Careers Support: Support apprenticeship programme activity, including course selection with business leads and reporting on Apprenticeship Levy spend and development. Assist the L&D Manager in delivering elements of the Graduate Programme as required.
  • Data Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Produce regular learning reports and management datasets, and lead or contribute to initiatives that enhance L&D systems, features and the overall learning offer.

About You:

  • Professional approach and commitment to supporting a strong L&D culture.
  • A confident and resilient communicator able to build effective relationships with staff at all levels within a business.
  • Able to manage own workload independently and initiate actions to get the job done.
  • Capable of managing multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Assisting in the scoping of L&D improvement projects and delivering specific projects from start to completion. Planning the overall requirement, running a project plan, consulting with your client base, taking on board brand requirements, delivering the solution and landing the project onto the LMS (as appropriate) to close out the project.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Qualifications: Qualifications relevant to Business Administration or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders. Good IT proficiency, including Excel and data management. Ability to learn new systems or an aptitude for system administration. Excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience: Experience in an administrative or coordination role within a professional environment. Experience managing data or records in business systems.

Preferred

  • Qualifications: CIPD qualification in Learning & Development (Level 3 or Level 5).
