We are currently recruiting for a Senior Database Engineer to join our established and experienced CIO team here at RSA on a hybrid basis.
Your Role
As a Senior Database Engineer, you will be responsible for the advanced design, optimisation, and administration of database systems, focusing on ensuring high performance security and scalability, and mentoring junior team members.
You will collaborate closely with platform teams to define goals, drive technical innovation, and ensure alignment with business requirements.
In your role you will also keep up with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering team.
You may be required to provide out-of-hours standby support to ensure timely incident resolution and maintain operational continuity.
You will Design and implement efficient, scalable, and secure database structures using T-SQL, including highly detailed stored procedures, triggers and indexing strategies. You are also in charge of optimising SSIS workflows to ensure efficient ETL processes and minimal system impact.
About You
You will possess excellent problem-solving skills, contribute to technical discussions and decision making, and provide guidance on database design principles and best practices.
Your role will require extensive experience in T-SQL, SSIS, and PowerShell scripting to automate processes, improve efficiency, and lead complex database tasks.
You will have proven experience in SQL Server environments, including performance tuning, high availability configurations, and disaster recovery planning.
Your role will include In-depth knowledge of database security best practices, including access control, encryption, and auditing to meet compliance standards.
