Your role will involve working with selected brokers to optimise profitable growth from these accounts. You will apply a range of underwriting, relationship management, and business development techniques. The class of business is largely Single Period Risks, so you will focus on New Business, both UK and International. The policies range in premium, and you will be exposed to many large and complex risks. You will spend your time working with your broker panel to identify, discuss, negotiate new business opportunities, and make effective underwriting decisions. There will be a mixture of 'lead' and 'follow' business, and potentially some international travel if it adds value to the role.
About You
To be successful as a Senior Construction Underwriter, you need extensive experience in Engineering Construction Underwriting or International Construction Underwriting, with the ability to build and maintain broker relationships to win new business.
