We have an opportunity for a Lead Cloud Data & Technology Architect – Enterprise Data Platform to join our great CIO team on a hybrid basis.
Your Role
This role will act as the architecture and design governance for the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) at RSA UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the EDP architecture blueprint, driving standardisation, interoperability, and scalability, and ensuring alignment with the wider enterprise data architecture (EDA).
You will be a strategic thought partner across delivery squads, acting as a design authority in multi-disciplinary forums and influencing architecture decisions across core strategic programmes from data office.
About You
In the role, we are looking for a candidate who has Proven hands-on experience in cloud based modern data architecture paradigm (Azure or AWS), preferably within large, complex data environments. We are looking for an individual with an architectural understanding of data products, metadata management, data modelling (conceptual/logical), governance, data cataloguing, classification, and lineage.
The role will require excellent communication and influencing skills – able to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels. The role will also need a track record of design ownership, including decisions, documentation, stakeholder alignment. In the position you will have the authority to lead the patterns and solutions of data solutions on EDP, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and governance standards. It will also involved driving collaboration across data, engineering, and business teams, ensuring the seamless integration and usability of data solutions.
In the position, you will be driving design reviews, architecture spikes, and decision documentation with a clear focus on performance, reusability, extensibility, and interoperability. The position will also require mentoring and guiding delivery teams in implementing architecture designs aligned with both the business needs and technical best practices.
