Senior Real Estate Underwriter

Intact Insurance, formerly RSA, is looking for a senior real estate underwriter to join our Commercial Lines team on a hybrid basis. The role focuses on underwriting and negotiating real‑estate business, building broker relationships, and driving sustainable profitable growth.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and negotiate new and/or renewal real‑estate business including blocks of flats and residential and commercial property owners.
• Build and maintain excellent broker relationships through regular engagement.
• Apply pricing strategies and risk‑assessment techniques to drive profitable growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share insights and improve underwriting practices.
• Contribute to process improvements and support broker team ideas.
• Represent the company at broker meetings, industry events, and field visits as needed.

Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience in real‑estate, commercial and residential property owners underwriting.
• Ability to serve as a referral point to less experienced colleagues.
• A sharp eye for detail and strategic thinking.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong ability to build and maintain broker relationships.
