We are currently recruiting for a Counter Fraud Unit Liability Claims Handler to join our established and experienced team here at RSA on a hybrid basis.
Your role
As a Counter Fraud Unit Liability Commercial Claims Handler, you will be responsible for reviewing claims referred to the team to determine whether they should be retained for further investigation. For those claims that are retained, you will lead the investigation into fraud concerns and assess overall claims liability. Where appropriate, you will also negotiate the settlement of claims, ensuring the best possible outcome for both our customers and the business.
You will provide instructions to our panel solicitors on litigated claims and support them through to trial where necessary. You’ll work both independently and as part of a team to deliver high standards of customer service and good claims outcomes. Your role also involves identifying and suggesting ways to improve existing processes, helping to create better experiences for both customers and the team.
About you
You will have current experience working in an insurance counter fraud environment and a solid understanding of emerging fraud trends, bringing valuable market insight to the team. You’ll be comfortable in managing and organising your own caseload while also being someone who works well with others and contributes positively to team goals.
You’ll be engaged, enthusiastic, and passionate about delivering excellent customer service. You’ll take ownership of your work and be driven by the desire to make a real difference for customers. Good communication skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office are essential for this role.
