Recruitment Business Partner
Responsibilities
- Shaping and delivering Talent Acquisition support for aligned business areas, ensuring hiring demand is agreed and prioritised, and acting as the primary TA partner to hiring managers.
- Leading the development of forecasted demand and hiring plans for aligned business areas, working closely with the Talent Pool Lead, HR partnering colleagues and pipeline teams to translate business needs into focused attraction and pipeline activity.
- Being accountable for the quality of hiring decisions and the application of defined Intact assessment approaches, ensuring hiring managers are presented with a small number of well‑assessed, recommended candidates.
- Working to agreed TA service and quality standards, balancing speed, quality and fairness, and constructively challenging unrealistic timelines or role expectations using market and pipeline insights.
- Reviewing and signing off role content before it goes live, ensuring job descriptions are clear, realistic and aligned to agreed hiring priorities and market conditions.
Skills and Experience
- Experience shaping or contributing to hiring demand and prioritisation in partnership with the business.
- Strong relationship‑building skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively on role expectations, timelines and market realities.
- Ability to use insight, data and market knowledge to set realistic expectations and guide conversations, even where information may be incomplete.
- Understanding of inclusive hiring principles, with experience supporting fair and consistent assessment and decision‑making.
- Comfortable operating in fast‑moving and sometimes ambiguous environments, able to make sound judgement calls, escape appropriately and adapt as priorities change.
- Strong professional judgement and commercial awareness, balancing urgency, quality and delivery risk.
- Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to explain trade‑offs and recommendations simply and effectively.
- Applies EDI best practices in recruitment activity, supporting fair selection processes and equitable candidate experiences.
- Experience in regulated, professional or specialist environments is desirable, or a clear ability to build domain understanding quickly.
