The predicted salary is between 55000 - 65000 £ per year.
Your role as a Senior Construction Underwriter will involve working with selected brokers to optimise profitable growth from these accounts. You will apply a range of underwriting, relationship management and business development techniques. The class of business is largely Single Period Risks, so you will be spending your time focusing on New Business, both UK and International. The policies range in premium and you will be exposed to many large and complex risks.
Responsibilities
- Spend your time working with your broker panel identifying, discussing, negotiating new business opportunities and making effective underwriting decisions.
- There will be a mixture of 'lead' and 'follow' business and potentially some travel (including International) if this is likely to add value to the role.
Qualifications / Experience
- Extensive experience in Engineering Construction Underwriting or International Construction Underwriting with the ability to build and maintain broker relationships in order to win New Business.
