External Reporting Accountant

Overview

We are currently recruiting for an External Reporting Accountant to join our established and experienced Finance team here at RSA on a hybrid basis for a 12 month fixed term contract. The purpose of this role is to take responsibility for some areas of, and support others, in the timely, complete, and accurate production of regulatory reports to the UK (BoE/PRA) and Luxembourg (CAA) Regulators for the UK & International Group, and UK and Luxembourg solo entities. These must be prepared in line with Group Policy, professional best practice and relevant legal / regulatory requirements.

• Contribute to the preparation of significant elements of the Group\’s and UK Solvency II pillar 3 reporting in line with PRA, CAA and EIOPA reporting cycles.
• Completion of the Reporting Group and subsidiary Premiums Claims and Expenses quarterly Solvency II templates.
• Lux SI Quarterly preparation and explanation of unusual movements in premiums claims and expenses for specific risk countries as required.
• Collate and check the Quarterly CFO Packs for UK and Luxembourg.
• Lux SI Annual preparation and explanation of unusual movements in premiums claims and expenses for specific risk countries as required.
• Preparation and Delivery of Annual Solvency II reporting operating a robust governance model.
• Collate and check the Annual CFO Packs for UK and Luxembourg.
• Preparation and Delivery of Internal Revenue Reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

• You are a qualified accountant with over 3 years of post-qualification experience, bringing good technical knowledge and a deep understanding of financial reporting standards.
• You have proven experience in group reporting and consolidation within a multi-currency organisation, ideally within the Financial Services or Insurance sector.
• You\’re confident working with large volumes of data and have advanced Excel skills to support your analytical approach.
• Experience in regulatory reporting is desirable, as is familiarity with systems such as SAP, FDS, FCCS, TM1, and SII Assist.
