Win as a Team
In your role, you will help drive sustainable profitable growth by building long term partnerships with selected brokers, securing renewals, and developing new business opportunities.
You will work closely with colleagues and broker partners to make effective underwriting decisions, support excellent customer outcomes, and contribute to the success of the Specialty Lines business.
You’ll make an impact by
- Building trusted relationships with selected brokers to identify, progress and secure new business, cross selling and up selling opportunities.
- Managing a portfolio of accounts, supporting account plans that maximise profitable growth and secure renewals.
- Reviewing large and specialist cases and delivering underwriting decisions within agreed authority levels.
- Negotiating and winning new account relationships while clearly communicating proposition with brokers and clients.
- Providing guidance and coaching to colleagues, while contributing to technical audits, peer reviews and the wider development of business strategies and market propositions
Your skills and experience
- Solid underwriting, trading and negotiation skills, with the ability to make balanced underwriting decisions across Real Estate policies is essential.
- Excellent relationship management skills, enabling effective broker account development and long term partnership building.
- Good understanding of the insurance market, competitors and broker needs, with the ability to create effective solutions.
- Positive communication and presentation skills, with a collaborative approach to building relationships across the business.
- Ability to coach and support others, while contributing to shared goals and delivering results.
