We are currently recruiting for a Multinational Property Specialist to join our Global Network Specialty Lines Underwriting team on a hybrid basis. This role can be based in any of the following offices: London, Chelmsford, Birmingham, Manchester or Liverpool. Your role serves as a technical authority within Intact's Global Network. You will leverage your experience in multinational underwriting and programme design to ensure accuracy, compliance and risk control. By applying technical knowledge, your role safeguards underwriting and claims integrity across international placements.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical authority within Intact's Global Network.
- Leverage experience in multinational underwriting and programme design to ensure accuracy, compliance, and risk control.
- Safeguard underwriting and claims integrity across international placements.
- Act as a major point of contact for users of the Global Network.
- Assess and agree exposures that pass through the Global Network in line with authority.
- Build relationships with partners producing into, and servicing, the network.
- Protect all parties in the chain of multinational programme and fronting business.
- Manage overall exposure to the Global Network of property lines, including accumulation, exposure profiling, and management.
- Build relationships with senior internal parties managing groups reinsurance and counterparty risks.
- Train internal and external users on constructing multinational programmes, issuing pure fronting business, creating compliant premium allocations, adhering to tax liabilities, and advising on compliant admitted and non-admitted reinsurance and insurance.
Qualifications
- Experience designing, implementing and/or managing multinational insurance programmes, ideally with exposure to property programmes, in underwriting, claims, or operations. Multiclass experience beneficial but not essential.
- Experience operating in a highly regulated environment, with a working knowledge of governance/compliance frameworks in Intact or similar insurers.
- Clear communicator, able to present information clearly, unambiguously, and in a comprehensible format.
- Ability to build and develop relationships across all levels of the business, including at an executive level.
