In your role, you support Intact Insurance UK in delivering fair, accurate and timely outcomes for customers by applying specialist technical judgement across motor claims. Your contribution helps protect customer trust, control claim costs and strengthen supplier relationships, while ensuring judgements are made with care, consistency and integrity across the claims journey.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Applying specialist technical advice across motor vehicle construction, use, repair and total loss decisions to support positive customer outcomes.
  • Managing large and complex motor claim repairs and total losses through to settlement, including commercial vehicles and specialist machinery.
  • Assessing repair methods, costs and parts availability to ensure appropriate solutions are identified and progressed.
  • Supporting claims teams with technical guidance on first and third party referrals, disputes and complaints.
  • Working closely with suppliers and internal colleagues to address service issues and resolve delays or failures effectively.

Your skills and experience:

  • A background in motor vehicle construction, repair and estimating across mechanical, electrical and body repair disciplines.
  • Experience reviewing repair and total loss assessments to validate methods, costs and settlement options.
  • Ability to provide clear, balanced technical advice on claims, including recoveries, fire cases and specialist charges.
  • Relevant motor vehicle repair or automotive engineering qualifications and industry recognised memberships or certifications.
