We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Underwriter to join our established and experienced Underwriting team at RSA on a hybrid basis.
Your Role
This role involves working with selected brokers to optimise profitable growth. You will apply underwriting, relationship management, and business development techniques to achieve this growth. This applies to existing cases within our agreed process and underwriting appetite.
You will spend most of your time working with brokers, identifying, discussing, negotiating, and renewing new and existing business opportunities, making effective underwriting decisions. You will underwrite Commercial P&C, Construction, Engineering, and Renewable Energy policies.
About You
To succeed as a Commercial Underwriter, ideally, you will have underwriting experience within Property & Casualty, Construction, or Renewable Energy, from either a New Business or Existing Business perspective. However, we will consider candidates with Personal Lines Underwriting experience seeking to progress into Commercial Insurance.
You should be able to build relationships with insurance brokers and write profitable business to ensure account growth.
