The Desktop Property Claims Adjuster role involves undertaking assessments of household property claims and making associated settlement recommendations in line with designated authority levels, policy cover and customer propositions. You will spend the majority of your time gathering relevant claim information from customers, adjusting claim submissions in line with policy cover and informing customers of settlement outcomes. You will be desk based, working in a team with other Property Claims colleagues in our Galway office. You will have strong analytical, communication and organisation skills.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee household desktop claims from initiation to resolution, ensuring a customer-focused experience throughout the process.
- Engage effectively with customers and third parties, providing clear communication and promptly addressing enquiries.
- Utilize negotiation skills to aim for optimal outcomes in claims settlements while providing excellent customer service.
- Prepare and deliver case decisions and solutions to the customer, in line with agreed processes at designated level authority, to meet business objectives and the customer proposition.
- Manage customer interactions in an efficient, courteous and timely manner, escalating to more senior and/or qualified colleagues as necessary to deliver high standards of customer satisfaction.
- Provide expert advice, guidance and coaching to less experienced colleagues to develop knowledge and understanding of desktop claims adjusting best practice.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and retention levels.
- Maintain quality and levels of service delivered.
- Contribute to operational efficiency and personal contribution to team productivity.
- Apply Brand Beliefs and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and policy requirements.
- CIP qualified (desired but not essential).
- +3 years property claims handling experience.
- +2 years desktop claims handling experience (required).
