This is a hybrid role, offering a combination of being able to work remotely and from our London, Corby or Manchester offices – it is likely you will be based at any one of those offices.
Accountable for leading the Commercial Insight function in EMEA including the delivery of trading data (eCommerce) analytics, research, data science and reporting to inform and support commercial Go-To-Market decision making and optimization.
What You Will Be Doing
- You will be a seasoned and innovative expert in turning complex data into meaningful insight to help shape key decisions and drive progress across our business.
- Your leadership and collaborative approach will drive how you shape the team to enhance the way we work with stakeholders across the region.
- You will have accountability for leading the Commercial Insight function in EMEA including the delivery of data analytics, research, data science & engineering and reporting to inform and support commercial Go-To-Market decision making and optimization:
- Defining, communicating and explaining the performance and value drivers of the business core KPIs across EMEA commercial functions.
- Establishing and running a trading cadence that informs regional and market teams of how to adjust and optimise their activity to continuously improve core KPIs and support the EMEA region strategy and commercial delivery.
- Ensuring data driven insights are at the forefront of decision making for EMEA.
- Providing go-to-market teams with the data, reporting and analytical capability and rigour required to optimise customer lifetime value.
- Ensuring the key datasets and models are identified and made available that enable the go-to-market teams to maximise value creation and next best action delivery.
- Educating teams across EMEA on the data that is available and useful for them, how it can help and how they should be using it in their decision-making process.
- Work in partnership with local market data analysts across EMEA to support the delivery of effective insight and reporting to support local go-to-market optimization.
- Work closely with the Group Customer Experience function to produce and implement the templates, processes, and tools needed for execution in the commercial insight function in EMEA.
- Be a critical support partner to the GTM leader, CFO and President of EMEA.
What You'll Bring
- Functional/technical competencies
- Proven ability as a Head of Commercial Insight (or similar role).
- Demonstrable experience in successfully managing stakeholder relationships at a senior level.
- Demonstrable experience of having successfully led, motivated and developed a team of insight professionals.
- Experience operating in a trading driven digital and offline business is essential.
- Strong web analytics capability to highlight key performance drivers of web channel and offline channels.
- Experience in effective measurement of performance marketing and overall marketing ROI.
- Experience in consulting and/or commercial leadership roles an advantage.
- Strategic thinking – scans the external landscape, identifying future trends and implications, and joins things up internally to simplify and align our business to pursue opportunity.
- Managed risk taking - Data rational and mines data for insight, seeks diverse perspectives, and uses that insight combined with sound judgement and to inform decisions and action that balance risk and reward.
- Collaboration and influencing – a team player, works well across a matrix, identifying and listening to all key stakeholders, building trust, and engaging in open dialogue and constructive debate.
