You will have the opportunity to establish new standards, build a high‑performing engineering team, and drive the strategic direction for our global data integration capability. The Informatica Engineering Manager will initially focus on growing the team by hiring and developing engineers while delivering both greenfield initiatives and business‑as‑usual (BAU) work. The role requires strong technical leadership and stakeholder management to prioritise demand, size requests, and build a robust, consolidated ETL platform.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Team Leadership & Growth: Recruit, lead, and develop a high‑performing Informatica engineering team, fostering a collaborative and high‑quality engineering culture.
- Strategic Platform Development: Design and build a modern Informatica ETL platform to support global data integration needs, establishing best practices, standards, and scalable architecture.
- Legacy Migration & Consolidation: Lead the migration and consolidation of legacy ETL systems into the new platform while ensuring stability, continuity, and long‑term value.
- Stakeholder & Demand Management: Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, assess feasibility, size requests, and prioritise work across projects and BAU delivery.
- Vendor Coordination: Act as the primary technical contact for Informatica and related vendors, coordinating support, licensing, and migration activities.
- Delivery Execution: Oversee the successful delivery of both project‑based initiatives and ongoing operational work, ensuring reliability and performance across the ETL ecosystem.
- Process & Standards: Establish and promote engineering standards, development processes, and operational practices for the ETL platform.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with architecture, data engineering, analytics, and business intelligence teams to ensure alignment with the organisation’s broader data strategy.
