The Opportunity

As the Digital Merchandising Lead, you will be responsible for driving commercial success for our strategic & core global supplier brands by enhancing the digital customer experience through insights and analytics.

You will be expected to achieve key digital KPIs for suppliers and secure additional marketing budgets for future initiatives.

Your responsibilities include developing and implementing supplier strategy plans, working closely with the Digital Merchandising team, Product & Supply Chain, and Marketing teams.

This role requires a blend of strategic planning, commercial acumen, contract negotiation and hands‑on execution.

  • What You Will Be Doing
  • Take ownership of delivering key metrics for your suppliers, analysing run rates on visits, sales, participation, conversion, and search trends, creating actions to improve these, and creating periodic sales reports with actionable insights.
  • Influence over £1 million in supplier funding.
  • Lead quarterly supplier reviews, delivering insights and actions from the previous quarter, creating strategic plans for the next quarter, and developing supplier plans aligned to the digital merchandising and category strategy.
  • Lead digital projects and plan digital merchandising activities 3-9 months in advance, ensuring all requirements and plans are delivered on time.
  • Use analytics and customer insights to inform supplier plans, contribute to continuous improvement, and identify customer problems or opportunities that can be solved through website merchandising and/or customer acquisition activities.
  • Build collaborative relationships with supplier brands, global Product & Supply Chain teams, Marketing, and wider Digital Teams to influence commercial activities and secure investment in digital marketing and content.
  • Manage the supplier onboarding process for your category, from initial pitch to contract negotiation, and lead re‑sign discussions with existing suppliers.
  • What You’ll Bring
  • Over 2 years of experience in a B2B or B2C Digital Merchandising role.
  • Proficient in using tools such as Adobe Analytics, Bright Edge, and Google Trends, with the ability to communicate data, insights, and recommendations to suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the digital landscape, B2B and B2C environments, Digital Merchandising KPIs, levers, systems, marketing channels, and how they influence results.
  • Experience with content management systems.
  • Proactively identifies issues and opportunities to improve UX and CX, shaping the digital product roadmap to drive performance.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and contract management skills.
  • Proven track record of delivering results, taking ownership of outcomes, making decisions independently with limited information, and managing workload effectively.
  • Strong customer focus and a can‑do, self‑starter attitude.
  • Adept at building relationships and influencing stakeholders, suppliers, agencies, and senior leaders across functions to secure support, sign‑off, and achieve business goals.
  • Engages teams and commercial functions to drive a digital mindset shift, demonstrates strong change management skills, and shows potential for future management positions.
