As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated and organised Fleet & Breakdown Controller to join our Tipton-based control centre. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in transport planning, route management or logistics co-ordination.
The Role
As part of our control centre team, you will play a key role in coordinating our nationwide recovery operations. You will ensure that the right drivers, vehicles, and resources are dispatched quickly and efficiently to support customers when they need us most. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Managing incoming jobs and assigning appropriate recovery vehicles or subcontractors
- Planning efficient routes and schedules for roadside assistance and recovery operations
- Monitoring job progress and updating customers on ETAs, delays or completion details
- Communicating effectively with drivers, customers and third-party partners
- Maintaining accurate records in line with company and customer procedures
- Keeping up to date with service levels, SLAs and contract requirements
What We Are Looking For
This is a fast-paced, operational role that suits someone with strong organisational and communication skills. To be successful, you will need:
- Previous experience in transport planning, fleet dispatch or route scheduling (desired)
- Good geographical knowledge and ability to think on your feet
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail under pressure
- Proficiency using mapping or dispatch systems
- A proactive, calm, and problem-solving attitude
