Location: This is a hybrid role, offering a combination of being able to work remotely and from our European offices – there will be some travel involved across our European business.

The Opportunity

This is a critical role in delivering RS Group’s EMEA growth ambition. The VP EMEA Sales Effectiveness is accountable for driving a step-change in sales performance across the region by building the capability, discipline and execution standards required to deliver consistent, profitable growth. Working in close partnership with market leaders and commercial teams, the role ensures that Sales teams are focused on the right opportunities, equipped to win, and performing to a consistently high standard.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Drive improvement in sales productivity, conversion and profitable revenue growth across EMEA
  • Define and embed a consistent sales methodology and performance standards across all markets
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing leaders to strengthen pipeline quality, win rates and customer development
  • Ensure sales teams are focused on the highest value customers, opportunities and growth segments
  • Build world-class sales capability through coaching and training (including Sales Academy)
  • Establish clear performance metrics and transparency on sales effectiveness across the region
  • Lead the effective use of data, insight and tools to improve decision-making and execution in Sales
  • Drive continuous improvement in customer journeys and commercial processes to enhance customer experience and profitability
  • Lead the Sales Effectiveness community across EMEA, sharing best practice and scaling what works
  • Support markets on strategic opportunities and major deals as required
  • Work closely with Finance and Customer Experience teams to ensure alignment and delivery of growth priorities
  • Work closely with People team to build the right capabilities and incentives for sales professionals & leaders.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven commercial or sales leader with a track record of improving sales performance and delivering growth in B2B environments
  • Experience leading sales transformation initiatives across complex, multi-country organisations
  • Strong understanding of sales drivers, including pipeline management, conversion, pricing and customer value
  • Experience working in matrix organisations and delivering through influence
  • Commercially focused, with a clear understanding of what drives revenue and profitability
  • Ability to simplify complexity and focus teams on the actions that deliver results
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior levels
  • Data-led and pragmatic, using insight to drive decision-making and performance improvement
  • Experienced in building sales capability, processes and ways of working that scale
