Location: This is a hybrid role to include 2-3 days in office, offering a combination of being able to work remotely and from our London office.

The Opportunity: This is a newly created role seeking an experienced and technical Corporate Tax Senior Manager reporting to the Group Head of Tax Reporting and Compliance. This role has arisen due to an increase in compliance and reporting requirements and processes that have been created through acquisition and regulatory changes, and an increase in advisory and M&A tax work. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in tax reporting, deep expertise in cross border tax matters, (ideally with an understanding of Pillar Two tax rules) and significant experience supporting corporate transactions in a multinational environment.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Tax Reporting
    • Oversee preparation and review of global income tax provisions under IFRS ensuring accurate current and deferred tax calculations.
    • Manage forecasting, interim and year-end tax reporting cycles including liaison with auditors and other periodic reporting.
    • Drive readiness for new reporting requirements and support implementation of process improvements including relevant technology, tools and processes, working with advisers where required.
    • Provide relevant information to outsource provider to enable Pillar Two tax compliance obligations to be met and lead the organisation’s Pillar Two compliance work.
    • Provide tax disclosures in financial statements for UK companies and review international financial statements tax disclosures.
  • International Tax Compliance and Advisory
    • Co-ordinate and oversee delivery of corporate tax returns via outsourced providers.
    • Provide proactive tax advice on international tax matters including permanent establishment risk, CFC regimes, and cross‑border financing.
    • Assess tax implications of new business models, market expansions, supply‑chain changes, and intra‑group arrangements.
    • Partner with regional finance, legal, and business teams to ensure tax-efficient structures and compliance with local regulations.
  • Tax legislation requirements
    • Monitor global and local legislative developments and assess their financial and operational impact.
    • Provide internal training and technical updates to stakeholders.
  • Tax Support for acquisitions, integrations and restructuring
    • Conduct tax due diligence (or coordinate input from advisers where relevant) for potential acquisitions.
    • Evaluate tax risks, opportunities, and structural considerations during deal execution.
    • Support integration planning and execution, ensuring tax efficient onboarding of newly acquired entities.
    • Advise on internal restructurings, entity rationalisations and legal entity integrations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Governance
    • Act as a key international direct tax advisor to senior finance leaders, legal and Treasury teams, and commercial stakeholders and prepare and present technical tax analysis and recommendations to leadership.
    • Collaborate closely with external tax advisors on specialist matters and ensure alignment with global tax strategy.
    • Maintain strong tax governance, contributing to internal controls and documentation.
    • Support team with regulatory changes and projects as and when required.
  • Team Work
    • Collaborate with other Group Tax teams (Transfer Pricing, Indirect Tax, Employment Tax) to ensure group reporting and tax compliance issues are fully understood.
    • Develop one junior team member of the Reporting and Compliance team and help develop members of the wider Group Tax team.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Qualified ACA, CTA or equivalent.
  • Significant experience working in Corporate Tax and Tax Reporting, in an international environment, gained from both practice and industry including tax advisory work, some exposure to Pillar 2 and experience of working on (cross border) acquisitions and integrations.
  • Able to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels of the business and to various stakeholder groups, with the ability to explain complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and build strong business relationships.
  • Analytical & problem-solving skills, with good attention to detail and a commercial mindset.
  • Flexible working style with the ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Highly motivated team player, with willingness to be hands on.
