Location: This is a hybrid role, offering a combination of being able to work remotely and from our Corby office.

Contract Type: 12 months fixed-term contract

The Opportunity: This role will support a busy payroll function in an end-to-end process as part of a team. Our Payroll Services team are part of our wider People Shared Services team and are responsible for the timely and accurate processing of over 3,000 employees within UK and RoI monthly. Our People Services team deal with all employee lifecycle activities (starters, T&C changes and leavers), working collaboratively with all RS functions to ensure that we consistently deliver excellent customer service to both employees and stakeholders. It is a very exciting time to join our People Services team, as we are embarking on a journey of transformation over the next 1-2 years – with our Payroll Team being our focus.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Ensure that transactional payroll activities are carried out within the agreed KPI's and that a consistent approach is delivered whilst maintaining operational excellence in the most efficient way.
  • Provide an end-to-end excellent payroll service to the business.
  • Support delivery of operational excellence.
  • Resolve all payroll-related queries with agreed timescales.
  • Support the payroll provision for RS Group PLC in the UK&I in line with legal and statutory requirements.
  • Pay employees accurately and on time.
  • Work effectively with Finance, PSS, Reward and the Pensions teams.
  • Add value to payroll related and associated activities by continually critically reviewing and analysing processes in order to develop and maintain an innovative payroll service.
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external customers and peers.
  • Ensure confidentiality in relation to all aspects of payroll activities in line with GDPR.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience using ADP would be advantageous.
  • Payroll experience; capable of manually working out gross to net pay.
  • Excellent knowledge of all HMRC legislation (RTI, NLW, Holiday Pay, BIK, Working Time Regulations).
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Demonstrates highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.
