Supply Chain Coordinator responsible for purchasing activities, inventory management, coordinating receiving of goods, and providing general operations support. You will manage a range of key vendors, work closely with the Commercial and Warehouse teams to drive efficiencies, and maintain the approved supplier database in SAP. You will develop positive business relationships with supplier personnel and support effective and smart purchases with key vendors.
What you will be doing:
- Follow up with vendors to ensure purchase orders have correct price, unit of measure, colour, description, size, and delivery date upon receiving confirmations.
- Coordinate with vendors in the event of delivery discrepancies and manage issues related to delivery.
- Follow up with vendors on back orders and notify operations of impacts to projected delivery dates and when purchase orders are due to be received to ensure they are on track.
- Work alongside the warehouse team to support effective and smart purchases of key vendors while maintaining the approved supplier database in SAP.
- Maintain and develop positive business relationships with a supplier's key personnel.
- Create purchase orders for current and forecasted demand and monitor inventory and receiving.
- Collaborate with the Commercial team and Warehouse team to drive efficiencies and support overall operations.
Qualifications and skills:
- A highly motivated and positive attitude; able to work in a demanding and challenging Supply Chain environment.
- Previous experience within a similar supply chain or logistics environment.
- Numeracy and literacy skills; excellent communication (face-to-face and verbal).
- Ability to prioritise and multi-task in a busy environment; proactive in taking the lead within the department and deputising in the absence of the Supply Chain Manager.
- Experience using SAP systems and Microsoft Outlook; strong Microsoft Excel skills.
