This is a hybrid role, requiring at least two days per week in the Corby (Northamptonshire) office.
We are looking for an experienced Operational Accounting Team Leader to join our General Ledger (GL) function. You will play a key role in delivering accurate Group reporting, high-quality balance sheet control and strong audit support. This is a hands-on leadership role, ensuring processes are well-managed, data integrity is maintained and reporting is delivered to strict deadlines. You will work closely with Finance Business Partners and wider teams to provide accurate insight and support continuous improvement across the function.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Leading intercompany accounting, reconciliation and investigation of differences
- Coordinating audit requests, supporting investigations and ensuring high-quality responses
- Delivering timely month-end reporting, balance sheet analysis and cost information
- Preparing and reviewing balance sheet and manual journal reconciliations
- Ensuring process documentation, standardisation and best-practice development across UK & EMEA
- Supervising team activity and supporting broader GL workload as part of a shared resource pool
- Driving process automation and supporting other areas of the business where needed
What You Will Bring:
- Experience in a similar operational accounting or GL role
- Strong Excel skills, SAP experience would be desirable
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships in a matrix environment
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- A positive, proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA qualification or equivalent (desirable)
