Location: This is a hybrid role, offering a combination of being able to work remotely and from either our Corby or Manchester office.
The Opportunity
As the Head of Product & Supplier Management, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the commercial Product & Supplier Management teams in delivering sustainable and profitable sales and market share growth within the UK&I market. Placing the customer at the heart of what we do, with our strategic and key suppliers in mind, you will create a progressive and forward-thinking team that is focused on maximising our market relationships with suppliers to drive the best possible outcomes for our customers. This role will allow you to operate in a highly complex, fast-moving, multi-cultural environment and be part of a wider EMEA P&SM leadership community. The person will be actively encouraged to seek new and better ways to develop the Product & Supplier Management function within the UK&I.
What You Will Be Doing
- Lead, manage and develop the P&SM organisation.
- Achieve defined targets relating to category growth, margin and strategic supplier performance, adapting to meet any revised targets/KPIs.
- Develop, define and deliver the UK&I category strategies to deliver growth across all product groups, including supplier-funded marketing, new product introduction roadmap, pricing strategies and promotional activity.
- High engagement with the sales teams, reviewing pipeline health, joining opportunity teams and influencing the necessary sales focus to achieve category targets.
- Build strong local relationships with strategic suppliers to identify new growth opportunities to exploit for the UK&I market.
- Work across the UK&I leadership community to ensure end-to-end success in Inventory, Maintenance, Procurement Solutions, and Technical Advocacy, which drives long-term sustainable growth and brand loyalty.
- Drive incremental margin benefit through delivery of supplier-supported pricing to help us win with our customers while growing our profitability.
- Facilitating a feedback culture and processes that enable relevant insight on market, supplier, customer and competitor dynamics.
- Oversee strategic supplier relationships to ensure they are in the best position to drive incremental value.
- Regular customer interaction to ensure a strong, direct understanding of customer needs and developing trends.
- Proactive contribution and representation of the UK&I market as part of the EMEA P&SM council.
- Provide a focal point for UK&I inventory and supplier delivery performance and work across Supply Chain teams to deliver improved customer delivery performance.
