Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Electrician role covering the East midlands areas.
The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Daily tasks include reading and interpreting drawings, wiring and fitting electrical components, testing systems for safety and performance and issue certification on completion and diagnosing faults.
The role also involves troubleshooting electrical issues, performing routine inspections, and ensuring all work complies with relevant regulations BS 7671 18 th edition regulations and company standards.
The Electrician will collaborate with colleagues, communicate clearly with clients, and maintain accurate records of work completed.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of electricity principles and safe working practices around electrical systems.
- Proficiency in electrical work, including installation, wiring, and commissioning of electrical equipment.
- Experience in maintenance & repair of electrical systems, with the ability to perform routine and preventive tasks.
- Effective troubleshooting skills for identifying, diagnosing, and resolving electrical faults.
- Understanding of electrical engineering concepts relevant to system design, load calculations, and compliance.
- Recognized electrical qualifications or apprenticeship completion, with appropriate certifications or licenses.
- Familiarity with UK electrical regulations and standards (e. g., BS 7671) and health and safety requirements.
- Ability to use electrical testing tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally to client sites as required.
