Fixed-Term Contract: 12 months

RS Group is at a pivotal moment in our digital evolution as we begin to operationalise our new Customer Data Platform (CDP) — a strategically critical capability that will transform how we deliver personalised, insight‑driven customer experiences at scale. To support this journey, RS are searching for a Personalisation Consultant/Specialist on an initial 12‑month fixed‑term contract. This role is perfect for someone with hands‑on experience in e‑commerce personalisation, CDP activation, and omnichannel journey orchestration — someone who can help shape both our foundational setup and our long‑term roadmap.

You’ll play a key role in building our personalisation ecosystem from the ground up, partnering closely with our MarTech, Marketing, Data, and Product teams to ensure RS unlocks the full value of our new platform.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Collaborate with Technology and Architecture teams to ensure the CDP is configured for scale, optimised for data quality, and enabled with real‑time capabilities.
  • Help establish RS Group’s CDP Centre of Excellence, shaping best‑practice ways of working and developing essential frameworks, playbooks, and operational guidelines.
  • Advise on and support the development of effective audience and segmentation models, ensuring strong governance, consistency, and data integrity across teams.
  • Guide the business on activating personalisation across omnichannel customer journeys, ensuring experiences are testable, compliant, and free of conflicts or over‑targeting.
  • Support the prioritisation of personalisation use cases, advising on value measurement and reporting to demonstrate commercial and customer impact.
  • Partner with teams to enhance journey orchestration design and educate stakeholders on activating insight‑driven targeting.
  • Provide thought leadership on industry best‑practice personalisation approaches and translate these into actionable recommendations for RS.

About you:

You’re an experienced personalisation specialist with hands‑on CDP and activation tool expertise, capable of delivering scalable, data‑driven customer experiences. You understand how data, technology, and journey design connect, and you’re confident working in environments where foundations are still evolving. You can advise stakeholders at all levels while also getting hands‑on with audience setup, journey testing, and data validation. You bring a balanced approach—combining innovation with strong governance to ensure long‑term scalability. You have experience with complex e‑commerce journeys and know how to orchestrate personalised experiences across channels without conflicts or over‑targeting. Above all, you’re curious, collaborative, and passionate about unlocking the full value of customer data.

What you’ll need:

  • Proven experience delivering e‑commerce personalisation at scale, ideally within a global or enterprise environment.
  • Hands‑on experience working with Customer Data Platforms and associated activation tools within a complex MarTech ecosystem.
  • Strong understanding of journey orchestration, segmentation, experimentation, and cross‑channel activation.
  • Ability to design and embed scalable, data‑driven personalisation operating models.
  • Confidence working with multiple stakeholders, navigating evolving structures, and influencing decisions.
  • A collaborative mindset, capable of operating as both a practitioner and an advisor.

The extras you’ll get:

At RS, as well as the usual employee benefits you’d expect from a FTSE listed company, including annual performance bonus, enhanced maternity and paternity leave, private healthcare, in the UK&I, we’ve just introduced a number of new Family Friendly Policies including:

  • Help for people to take control of ongoing health conditions such as diabetes or asthma with £500 a year available for monitoring & consultation.
  • Support for neurodiverse colleagues and families with neurodiverse members with needs assessment, diagnosis and post-diagnostic support for autism spectrum, ADHD and Tourette’s syndrome.
  • Support for women at different life stages from streamlined fertility support through to diagnosis and monitoring of both endometriosis and menopause.
  • Helping our LGBTQ+ community through enhanced coverage for trans colleagues, including voice coaching, facial surgery, and gender confirmation surgery.
  • Additions to fertility coverage including IVF for lesbian couples and information/support around surrogacy and adoption for all.
