Location: Hybrid 2-3 days a week in our Corby office

The Opportunity

As Inventory Systems Maintenance Specialist you will have a proven understanding of inventory planning and supply chain concepts and processes, together with a keen systems interest and an awareness of the interfaces between systems. You will be a subject matter expert and a key point of contact between the inventory function and many other areas of the business, including IT and Supply Chain. This role requires technical understanding and ability, with a comprehension and appreciation of data maintenance and automatic batch jobs. It is essential you have an inquisitive nature and the ability to influence others and challenge the status quo when necessary. Attention to detail is key, with a drive to understand and improve any and all processes where appropriate.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Responsibility for the specification, implementation and maintenance of current and future planning system requirements to enable delivery of improved stocking policies in co-operation with the Inventory Management and IT teams.
  • Ensuring system compliance and operational efficiencies.
  • Drive improved and increased efficiency of process and existing systems capability.
  • Working closely with the senior management teams globally to understand the business needs and to respond to them on behalf of Supply Chain.
  • Management of all policy and parameter changes, working with the Optimisation and Solutions Specialists to co-ordinate analysis and communication of the effect and the application changes therein.
  • Maintenance of all system tables, policies and parameters.
  • Analysis and resolution of system related issues.
  • Work with Technical Lead on any system or technical process developments involving upgrades, patches, future specification etc.
  • Attends regular and ad-hoc review meetings with appropriate stakeholders in the business, to understand the business requirements and convert that into systems applications.
  • Develops recommendations to the overall planning processes, methods, rules and parameters to drive improved system usage and improve Supply Chain KPIs.
  • Able to influence all internal customers at all levels and reinforce system understanding and best practice.
  • Develops strong working relationships within a team environment and with internal colleagues, for example within Inventory, Supply Chain, Product and Supply Management, counterparts in APAC and Allied.
  • Able to influence internal parties to provide information and to implement system and configurable application changes.
  • Management of external parties where required, e.g. Wipro, Blue Yonder.
  • Assistance in the development of other specialist roles within the team.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in international Inventory planning management – Supply, Demand, and Inventory Optimisation.
  • Demonstrate a proven understanding of inventory Management and supply chain concepts and end to end supply chain processes.
  • Advanced and expert knowledge of JDA functionality across all modules.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills at all levels.
  • Thorough understanding of Supply Chain inventory management systems for online usage, background functionality and overnight batch processes.
  • Evident systems bias and interest along with detailed awareness of interfaces between systems.
  • Experience of leading the development of strategic business plans.
  • Comprehension and appreciation of data maintenance and automatic batch jobs.
  • Ability to use knowledge and experience of external best practice to drive improvement.
