Bus Mechanic / PCV/ HGV
We’re looking for experienced PSV Engineers / HGV Engineers to join our engineering team in Romford. You’ll be responsible for keeping our fleet safe, reliable, and ready for service — carrying out diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance in line with DVSA and company standards. You’ll be part of a friendly, supportive workshop environment where quality, teamwork, and pride in the job come first.
Responsibilities
- Service, maintenance, inspection, and repairs to DVSA and company standards
- MOT preparation and preventative maintenance
- Road testing vehicles following repairs
- Attending roadside breakdowns and recoveries when required
- Recording accurate details of all work completed
- Reporting technical issues and additional repair needs
- Supporting continuous improvement of fleet reliability
- Attending training courses to maintain technical knowledge
What We’re Looking For
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle / Buses / HGV maintenance)
- Solid mechanical knowledge of PCV requirements
- Experience working with buses, coaches, or heavy vehicles (car mechanics may be considered with the right qualifications)
- IRTEC accreditation (advantageous, not essential)
- Full PCV licence is desirable but not essential
- Technically adept with strong fault-finding skills
