We’re looking for experienced PSV Engineers / HGV Engineers to join our engineering team in Huddersfield. You’ll be responsible for keeping our fleet safe, reliable, and ready for service — carrying out diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance in line with DVSA and company standards.

You’ll be part of a friendly, supportive workshop environment where quality, teamwork, and pride in the job come first.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintenance, inspection, and repairs to DVSA and company standards
  • MOT preparation and preventative maintenance
  • Road testing vehicles following repairs
  • Attending roadside breakdowns and recoveries when required
  • Recording accurate details of all work completed
  • Reporting technical issues and additional repair needs
  • Supporting continuous improvement of fleet reliability
  • Attending training courses to maintain technical knowledge

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle / Buses / HGV maintenance)
  • Solid mechanical knowledge of PCV requirements
  • Experience working with buses, coaches, or heavy vehicles (car mechanics may be considered with the right qualifications)
  • IRTEC accreditation (advantageous, not essential)
  • Full PCV licence is desirable but not essential
  • Technically adept with strong fault-finding skills
  • Free travel pass on Public Transport (for you and one nominated family member)
