The opportunity:
rradar is looking for an experienced HR & Employment Law Specialist or Solicitor to join our Legal Advisory Service in either our Hull, Leeds or Glasgow office.
This is an excellent opportunity for an employment law or HR professional to provide timely, practical and high-quality advice to clients across a broad range of pre-claim HR and employment law matters. You will help clients proactively manage workplace risks, address issues at an early stage and reduce the likelihood of problems escalating.

The successful candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of employment law and HR matters, together with experience working in a busy, fast-paced and varied environment. You will be confident managing matters independently, while recognising when additional support or specialist input is required.
Duties include:
- Providing practical HR and employment law advice to clients by telephone and email, in line with agreed service levels and quality standards.
- Maintaining accurate records and case information across internal systems.
- Applying employment law and HR principles to deliver commercially focused solutions for clients.
- Identifying and referring matters requiring specialist support, ensuring seamless handovers to the appropriate legal advisory or claims teams.
- Promoting and supporting the use of rradar's digital solutions and wider service offering.
- Maintaining compliance with professional standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies and procedures.
- Keeping up to date with developments in employment law and HR best practice to ensure clients receive current, high-quality advice.
- Collaborating with colleagues to share knowledge, support continuous improvement, and deliver an excellent client experience.
- Supporting business development, marketing activities, webinars, training, and legal content creation.
- Identifying opportunities to enhance services, develop new solutions, and improve ways of working.
Required skills & experience:
We are seeking an analytical and proactive finance professional who can confidently manage multiple priorities while delivering accurate, high-quality work. You will be:
- Qualified Solicitor or Associate CIPD (minimum Level 5), with at least 2 years' PQE or equivalent experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience working in a busy, fast-paced HR, legal advisory, or employment law environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical and commercially focused advice.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a client-focused approach.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Able to work independently, exercise sound judgement, and recognise when matters require escalation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other business systems.
- Committed to continuous professional development and maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge
The following would be advantageous:
- Experience using case management systems.
- Experience delivering webinars, seminars or training sessions.
- Experience contributing to business development, marketing or legal content.
- Familiarity with working to service levels, performance measures and quality assurance standards.
