Join to apply for the Remote Senior Python Developer role at RR. This position is remote with Leeds, HQ 2 days per month and offers a 4-day week.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll support the design and development of scalable Python applications that power our AI-driven marketing platform. From architecting robust systems to guiding our technical roadmap, you’ll work cross-functionally to turn strategy into powerful, real-world solutions. You’ll champion engineering excellence, embed best practices, and drive innovation through clean code, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You’ll take ownership of key technical decisions, mentor a talented team of developers, and help build a culture of engineering excellence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend Python services and APIs for an AI-powered marketing analytics platform
- Architect scalable systems and guide the technical roadmap
- Refine microservices architecture and contribute to feature launches
- Collaborate with CTO, senior leadership, data scientists, and clients
- Mentor developers and promote engineering excellence
- Drive performance, reliability, and data pipeline quality
What You’ll Bring
- Strong experience in Python backend development
- Automated testing and modern development practices
- Build pipelines with containers and automated quality checks
- API development with Falcon framework
- Experience in pragmatic startup environments and handling ambiguity
- Understand authentication/authorization (NextAuth/JWT)
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform
- Understanding of PostgreSQL and data modelling
- Exposure to BigQuery beneficial
- Exposure to infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform
Benefits
Remote working / Leeds HQ 2 days per month. Salary £70,000 – £90,000 DOE. Includes 4-day work week, 23 days annual leave + bank holidays, health insurance, retail & leisure perks, electric car scheme. Company dog on site: Roxy.
