Our North London based client is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a proven background in delivering new build social housing projects. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of high-value residential developments, managing schemes valued between £20m and £50m through all RIBA stages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the delivery of up to three new-build housing projects (subject to size and complexity), either through direct delivery or in partnership with development partners.
  • Manage projects from inception to completion across all RIBA stages, ensuring delivery to agreed budget, programme and quality standards, and achieving key project milestones.
  • Oversee significant project budgets, including the preparation of complex financial appraisals and the submission of bids for external funding relating to residential development and regeneration schemes.
  • Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams of up to 25 professionals per project, including architects, specialist consultants, Employer’s Agents and internal delivery teams.
  • Issue instructions as required and drive performance to support the council’s ambitious targets for the delivery of new affordable homes.

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrable experience managing residential development and construction contracts through all RIBA stages.
  • Strong background in housing development or a related field, ideally within a local authority or public sector environment.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and high-value budgets.

Qualifications

  • A Project Management qualification or other relevant professional qualification in housing, construction, or development.
  • Substantial, demonstrable experience working within housing development or regeneration.
