Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of effective strategies to prevent homelessness and reduce reliance on temporary accommodation, ensuring full compliance with housing legislation and statutory guidance.
- Commission, procure and manage a diverse range of temporary accommodation options, including hostels, bed and breakfasts and private sector rentals, ensuring value for money, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for service delivery, including budget management, performance monitoring and achievement of key targets, while managing complex and sensitive cases.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal teams, health services, voluntary and community organisations, and private sector providers to deliver integrated and effective homelessness solutions.
- Lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams, fostering a customer-focused culture that delivers high-quality outcomes for residents.
- Drive service improvement, innovation and efficiency across homelessness services, responding proactively to changing demands, best practice and legislative requirements.
