We're growing our award winning team for new roles and growth within our clients in 2026. Following our YRP SME Employer of the Year 2026 award and live nominations at RIA, we're thrilled to be advertising for the continued growth of our team! At Railway Project Services Ltd, we do things slightly differently. The RPS team is far more than a group of colleagues but a network of friends who support one another, share best practice, and embody our shared values in everything we do. We want to hear from you if you're ready for a new challenge.
RPS is less concerned about time served in a particular industry, acronym knowledge or CV buzzwords. What we are interested in is:
- Communication skills, enthusiasm and initiative
- A willingness to learn and 'get stuck in' with a proactive mindset
- Strong written communication skills, with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
- Someone who takes pride in getting things right and takes ownership from beginning to end
- Someone who is inquisitive and committed
We work across major infrastructure and projects throughout the UK - from rail schemes in Yorkshire to the construction of the Sizewell C nuclear power plant. Our clients include Network Rail, railway operators and tier-one contractors, with whom we have longstanding relationships with. The work we do ranges from:
- Project management support for infrastructure schemes
- Precontract support for tier-one contractors focusing on outputs that enable contractors to start on-site
- Technical authoring to deliver written outputs across our client base
- Bespoke specialist commissions on behalf of these clients
We think that the roles we are advertising for will suit someone who:
- Enjoys variety
- Likes solving problems
- Communicates well with people at all levels
- Wants genuine career progression
- Is comfortable travelling when required
- Wants to build a long-term career within consultancy and infrastructure delivery
Rather than solely submitting a CV, we’re also open to applicants submitting a short video (max 2 minutes) introducing themselves. This helps us see the individual behind the CV. What we'd like to hear about is:
- Why this role interests you
- An example of a problem you’ve helped solve
- What makes you someone clients would enjoy working with
- Where you want your career to go
This doesn’t need to be professionally produced — a phone video is absolutely fine. We want to see the person behind the CV. Please apply via the Linkedin process or send your application and short video to contact@rps-team.co.uk. If this sounds like your type of challenge, we’d love to hear from you.
