We are currently recruiting multiple Principal Civil Design Engineers (Water) with experience in wastewater and/or clean water networks for various major long-term water industry frameworks across the UK. RPS, in collaboration with Tetra Tech, has secured a £100 million framework from United Utilities to improve river health in Northwest England, supporting projects that promote environmental resilience and sustainable water management.
As part of our Water Consulting team, you will work on innovative projects, contributing to program optimisation, solution development, and technical design, especially in wastewater infrastructure. Your role includes:
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and liaising with clients and suppliers.
- Managing projects independently.
- Designing water and wastewater infrastructure including treatment works, pumping stations, and sewers.
- Preparing reports, business cases, and contract documentation.
- Leading project meetings and providing technical guidance.
- Supporting and developing your technical skills towards industry expertise.
- Ensuring project delivery aligns with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related field; postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
- Chartered or working towards chartership.
- Experience in water/wastewater infrastructure design or project management.
- Strong communication skills and ability to lead teams.
- Knowledge of CDM regulations and proactive client relationship management.
