Overview
Management Accountant – Abingdon, hybrid 3 days in the office. Tetra Tech RPS is seeking a Management Accountant to join our Finance team and support the Finance Business Partner and Operational Directors. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on management accounting experience who is ready to progress within a fast-paced, collaborative and growing global organisation. Study support for AAT, ACCA or CIMA is available.
Purpose & Scope of the Role
As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely and insightful financial information across multiple accountability centres. You will support month-end, deliver accurate reporting, and ensure financial controls remain strong, all within an environment focused on continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and analysing monthly management accounts
- Explaining cost movements, variances and trends to support decision-making
- Preparing journals including accruals, prepayments and month-end adjustments
- Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register
- Completing key balance sheet and account reconciliations
- Supporting the annual operating plan (AOP) and budgeting activities
- Providing ad-hoc analysis, reports and project support to Finance Business Partners

- Experience preparing month-end accounts and managing core financial processes
- Strong understanding of journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
- Working knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
