RPS are seeking Logging Technicians to support in collation of data analysis over the water network, covering Gloucester and Worcester areas. This is a great opportunity to develop skills and experience with one of the UK’s leading Environmental Consultancies.
Overview
The Asset, Surveying, and Inspection (AS&I) team provides industry leading services to the UK Water Industry. We work on Water Networks, Drainage, Surveying, Leakage Consultancy, Water Resources and Efficiency. The team analyses complex data and provides pragmatic solutions to reduce water leakage, prevent flooding and pollution in local communities.
About You
As a key member of the AS&I business, your role as a Logging Technician is to deliver great work for our clients by providing excellent customer service and executing complex operational tasks. This position offers opportunities to progress within RPS. You will need to work flexibly, including weekends, evenings and overtime if required, and be willing to travel to different locations. It is essential that you enjoy working outdoors, as work will be mostly outside in all weather conditions.
Your Responsibilities
You will be working outside to locate water main fittings and take noise samples using electronic leak detection equipment.
Skills, Knowledge, And Experience
- You will enjoy working outdoors (rain or shine)
- A good standard of basic maths and English
- Basic IT skills
- Willing to work nights, weekends and overtime as required
- Good hearing
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence
- National Water & Hygiene
- Unit 2 NRSWA
Health And Safety
This role may involve:
- Moving heavy items including inspection chamber covers
- Working in all weather conditions (night work possible)
- Working in confined spaces and on highways
- Mandatory drugs and alcohol tests; a DBS check may be undertaken
