Tetra Tech is adding a HR Advisor to support our Energy and Corporate businesses based in the UK. This is a fixed term contract for a minimum of 12 months to support a maternity cover. This opportunity is for a full-time position, however we may consider 30 hours per week for the right candidate. This can be a fully remote role from home or hybrid/office based in Edinburgh, Chepstow, Abingdon, Leeds or Woking.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive and practical advice and support to managers and colleagues in line with organisational policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Evaluate opportunities to make efficiencies in our processes and ways of working connected to areas such as time and attendance and absence management.
- Support the Head of HR with key employee life cycle activities such as performance and reward processes, inclusion and belonging, and wellbeing initiatives.
- Maintain appropriate recording/updating of all employee relations case documentation and key HR policies.
- Liaise and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Engage in difficult conversations with colleagues directly or advising via their line manager by having coaching conversations to achieve good working practices and maximise colleague engagement opportunities.
- Support the Head of HR by producing and analysing reports and calling out key trends.
- Manage People projects alongside day-to-day tasks.
Qualifications
- Good employment law knowledge either through studies or working experience.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent experience in the workplace.
- Well organised with excellent attention to detail and proactive approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks, prioritising your workload accordingly.
