Join our two-year Graduate Scheme, kickstart your career with hands-on experience, expert mentorship, and a tailored development plan. You’ll work on a variety of real-world projects, develop both technical and professional skills, and be encouraged to share your ideas and shape your future.

We’re seeking talented graduates to join our Hydrology Team in London, Bristol or Birmingham.

To be considered for our Graduate Programme you will need to be on course for achieving a relevant degree in one of the following subjects:

• Engineering
• Water Management
• Hydrology
• Environmental Science

Your Impact In This Position

You’ll play a key role in supporting the technical delivery of projects. You’ll gain hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle—from concept design to construction—and contribute to solutions that improve lives and shape cities.

You’ll collaborate across disciplines, attend client meetings and site visits, and produce technical drawings and calculations that meet industry standards. With mentorship from senior engineers and access to a structured development programme, you’ll build the skills, confidence, and experience needed to progress toward chartership and beyond.

Programme Highlights

• Central induction and ongoing support from your line manager and mentor.
• In-depth technical training in your core discipline, plus exposure to 15 technical and 8 interpersonal topics.
• Quarterly development reviews to track your progress.
• Opportunities to shadow senior colleagues and contribute to diverse projects.
• Your Pathway: You’ll be assigned a location, cost centre, line manager, and a ‘home’ technical discipline based on your qualifications and business needs. If you wish to explore a different discipline at the end of the programme, we’ll consider this based on your interests and business requirements.
• Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Partnership.
• Access to the CMI Foundation Chartered Manager pathway through flexible, online Bite Size programs. Topics include Managing Change, Leading in a Digital Age, Conflict Resolution, Project Management, and Data-Driven Decision Making.

Application and Selection Process

To apply for the Tetra Tech RPS 2026 Graduate Scheme, candidates must submit an up-to-date CV detailing their academic background, relevant experience, and motivation for joining the programme. All applications will be acknowledged upon receipt.

Following initial screening, shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete an online assessment to evaluate key competencies and problem-solving skills relevant to consultancy work. Those who progress beyond this stage will be invited to attend a final assessment, which may be an in-person interview or an assessment centre, depending on location and discipline.
