RPS seeks Experienced Leakage Technicians for our South West Water contract covering Bodmin and Cornwall. This is a 3-month contract with potential extension. Technicians will conduct detailed investigations of clean water networks to identify leakage and unaccounted-for consumption, helping achieve client targets. This role offers a great opportunity to develop skills with one of the UK's leading environmental consultancies.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Investigate water networks to identify leakage and unaccounted-for consumption.
- Use equipment to locate leaks and promote repairs on public and private grounds.
- Support maintenance teams as needed.
- Perform step testing and pressure zero testing of water networks.
- Provide detailed reports via data collection apps.
Who We're Looking For:
- Prior water network experience (required).
- Competent technician familiar with correlation, ground mic, quantification, and step testing.
- Experience working in similar roles.
- Proficient in utility tracing, noise logging, and asset surveying.
- Desired: EUSR water hygiene card, EUSR DOMS card, NRSWA Unit 2 accreditation.
- Ability to work across Scotland (required).
- Competent IT skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence (required).
Health and Safety:
You may need to lift heavy inspection covers and work in all weather conditions, including night shifts. Drug and alcohol testing is part of the role.
