RPS is seeking an Administrator to join our Private Leakage Team based in Cardiff.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Working with customers and third parties to address customer side leakage (supply pipe and plumbing loss) – through the utilization of our statutory powers (Water Industry Act 1991).
- Managing a large volume of cases through the internal process.
- Investigating and advising on responsibility for land, property, and pipework through land registry searches and engagement.
- Drafting legal notices (pre‑templated), and communicating directly with customers (phone, email, letter).
- Problem solving to ensure the method of resolution considers both the customer and business interest.
- Complaint responses.
- Workload / work basket management.
- Accurate logging of information and correspondence within corporate systems.
- Drafting of internal communications around re‑charging.
Who We’re Looking For
- Highly organised and self–motivated / driven.
- Experience in customer service / management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (minimum qualification of GCSE A‑C English or Welsh).
- Problem solving, and the ability to identify more efficient ways of doing things.
- Confidence to have challenging conversations with customers and to deal with conflict.
- Ability to confidently communicate in Welsh.
- Willingness and ability to travel across our operational area, with the occasional paid overnight stay (where cases required).
- Good IT skills (standard Microsoft type packages).
