The Opportunity Tetra Tech is adding a Procurement and Sourcing Specialist – IT Software to join our global IT team. This role can be fully remote (UK) or hybrid from any of our UK offices. We hold monthly meetings in our Leeds office and would welcome attendance where possible, though this is not essential. Flexible working arrangements, including adjusted hours, are available to support a healthy work/life balance.
The Global IT team is responsible for delivering technology services across Tetra Tech. You will be part of a global Procurement Team responsible for the provision of equipment and software across our operating units. The Procurement and Sourcing Specialist will manage key Enterprise software renewals through the asset lifecycle, including acquisition, compliance, maintenance, renewals, contract consolidations, cost control, and decommissioning. You will need to work closely with other IT Departments, internal business stakeholders, and vendors. You will also be accountable for the day-to-day supervision of the Global Software Team's workloads to ensure no service disruption, and for providing reporting to the Head of IT Procurement to ensure that renewals and requests are handled on time.
Your Role
- Deliver excellent procurement and commercial services for IT team supporting the wider organisation.
- Develop strategic relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, driving continuous improvement and value.
- Provide hands‑on support to ensure continuity of procurement execution during the transitional phase, particularly across renewals, negotiations, and key vendor interactions.
- Line management of software administrator.
- Supervise day‑to‑day workload of the Global Software Team to ensure continuity of service and timely fulfilment of requests.
- Produce regular reporting and analysis on requests, renewals, spend and licensing trends; recommend process or sourcing improvements.
- Act as primary support for the Global Head of IT Procurement.
Qualifications
- Experience with IT software asset management and procurement processes, ideally in a large corporate organisation.
- Working knowledge of software licensing & license types, maintenance renewals, license key management, and compliance.
- An excellent communicator able to work with managing internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex issues.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management with ability to influence decisions and timelines.
- Good analytical ability and confident user of Excel.
- Ability to prioritise in a customer‑focused, fast‑paced, and constantly changing environment.
