If you enjoy autonomy, thrive in varied environments and take pride in accuracy and clarity, this role offers genuine scope to grow, influence and create meaningful impact.
Purpose & Scope of the Role: This role exists to deliver high quality, UKAS compliant asbestos surveying services across a wide-ranging portfolio of commercial and industrial properties. You will carry out management, refurbishment and demolition surveys, collecting precise inspection data and producing clear, robust reports aligned with UKAS accreditation and HSE guidance. Working largely independently on client sites, you will conduct detailed inspections, bulk sampling and risk assessments, offering technically sound insights that support compliance, risk control and asset management.
Your Impact in This Position: In the early stages, you will establish yourself as a dependable technical specialist, delivering consistently high quality surveys and building trusted relationships with both clients and colleagues. As your experience deepens, you will gain exposure to larger, more complex survey projects and play a part in service improvements and broader consultancy activities. This includes involvement in major commercial and industrial projects, reinspection projects and asbestos management reviews. Longer-term, this position offers multiple progression pathways, including senior surveying responsibilities, technical auditing, project management or leadership roles within the consultancy.

Asbestos Expertise: You will be the trusted technical authority on site, bringing a thorough understanding of asbestos materials, behaviours and associated risks across demanding sectors such as aviation, pharmaceuticals and utilities. By staying ahead of evolving legislation and industry developments, you will provide measured, forward thinking advice that clients can depend on.
Regulatory Compliance and Technical Knowledge: You’ll apply asbestos legislation and industry standards with confidence, ensuring every survey is compliant, proportionate and grounded in evidence. Your working knowledge of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, HSG264 and supporting HSE guidance will allow you to interpret requirements pragmatically.
Data Capturing, Reporting & Quality Assurance: Accurate data underpins the credibility of every survey you complete. You’ll record detailed observations, assessments and sample information using digital platforms, supported by clear photographic evidence.
