Senior Lift Engineering Consultant

RPS are currently seeking an experienced Senior Lift Engineering Consultant to join our progressive business and service our clients by providing consultancy services in the locations of South London and Manchester .The business is going from strength to strength and this represents an exceptional opportunity to further your career through delivering quality engineering solutions and designs for projects which achieve and exceed our client’s expectations. What you’ll be doing: This is an exciting role for an individual looking to progress their career within Lift Engineering within our industry leading team where we have an excellent reputation, offering a wealth of expertise in all sectors. We are offering a broad and varied role within a challenging and rewarding environment and will be part of lift and escalator modernisation projects. Duties include:

  • Designing
  • Reviewing of contractor’s proposals and drawings
  • Reviewing and commenting on Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Attend pre-start meetings
  • The management of projects – . New Lift and Escalator Installation projects (new build or lift replacement)
  • Account management and Lift Contract Management
  • Accident Investigation
  • Witness testing
  • Health and Safety site audits, Lift Maintenance Audits, Lift dilapidation audits and EN81-80 audits
  • Traffic analysis and calculations
  • Specification
  • FM, Maintenance and Compliance projects.
  • Trouble shooting
  • Occasional LOLER examinations
  • Procurement exercises
  • Who we’re looking for: To be successful in this role you will most likely have a NVQ3 or NVQ4 Lift Engineering. The individual must be a time served lift engineer with a good technical background on various manufacturers equipment. Previous experience within either Lift Engineering Consultancy or Senior Project Management. Additionally, you will:

  • Be experienced in working on projects creating specifications that are required
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical capability with strong attention to detail
  • Have the ability to make decisions and be motivated
  • Comfortable with autonomy with an appetite to drive innovation
